Wait, you say they need to make new settings, and then we you are told they are making new settings you say they shouldn't make new settings because they will just be terrible? What do you want?
No. My feeling is the settings they have invested in are not big draw settings. Expanding on an PoL setting (and I mean an actual setting book) would have been a big draw IMO.
And the art is important. Very important.

Mind, my favourite thing on MMOs like this is FFXI and its whole "Face these directions when crafting on specific days" ideas. Because, turns out none of they were actually real and folks just believed they were for decades until someone did some data testing
I gathered data and performed statistical analysis and concluded that there was no effect whatsoever. Nobody in my linkshell paid attention.

New visionary leadership is needed.

But, is it?

Bob Igor is back at running Disney. Russell T. Davies is back as showrunner of Doctor Who. I think that, barring a few exceptions, you're going to see more Old Guard coming back into prominence, rather than bold new voices. We're going to be going into an economic downturn, and I think a lot of companies are going to scramble to shore up and prepare for it, and they are going to rely on people who have weathered these storms before only a decade ago. If new leadership is picked, it's going to be with people who have proven track records (James Gunn at DC, Filioni at Lucasfilm).

Billionaire vanities aside, I don't see any radical system shocks in the works for the next few years. Companies are going to go with proven winners and low risk going forward.

There was no need for it, but we did it anyway. Honor grinds, minmax behavior, speed runs, the works. I played with a lot of the first GM/HWL grinders on my realm, and it was really unhealthy.
My FFXIV character may be married to someone who's a Scarab Lord in WoW, so I totally dunno what you're talking about on that front :p

the question is in dnd where could that go past onednd as that is the safest bet they have right now they will need new content to bring people in thus what would it look like?
