D&D 5E Companion thread to 5E Survivor - Subclasses (Part XV: The FINAL ROUND)

Tagging in, the final list is suprising in many aspects, this is going to be an interesting competition so I’m keen to see the debate…
Honestly not sure why. The vast majority of these are the blandest, least interesting subclasses in their class. The only reason the Champion didn't win Fighter is because it's one of the only subclasses that manages to be problematic in how bland it is, because it actually manages to turn blandness into something extreme. (The fact that it's also mechanically god-awful might be a factor as well.)

Nah. The Wizard will win because the same people who complain about Wizard-dominance are voting down the non-magical Fighter.
I mean, I am one of the people who asserts that. But I also know that the Fighter is far and away the most-played class literally regardless of edition, doesn't matter how its designed, doesn't matter if it stinks to high heaven (whether as manure or as Limburger), it's popular. That alone gives it a headwind, and I'd rather literally anything else, including Wizard, win the day, even though really do I want Wizards to be brought down further and Fighters to be pushed up way, way, way more.

Really? I have played a lot of storm clerics and storm druids across the editions?
Yep. Not saying they can't be fun if that is what you like to play, I just think there are other subclasses better representative of clerics and it bothered me that Tempest won because the vote wasn't done correctly, which is why I have been tracking all the other survivor threads ever since--to keep the numbers accurate and ensure the correct subclass actually wins.
