D&D 5E D&D 2022 Overview - Did you purchase any of the books?

Yeah, I thought so too, but it's been a whirlwind year for me and my memory is shot.

I purchased the rules expansion set so that I finally had Tasha's and Xanathar's, not to mention the fantastic GM screen that came along with them, so technically, I got MotM. I would not have purchased it solo.

I'm curious about Radiant and Dragonlance, but not urgently so.

I found Monsters of the Multiverse to be good on mechanics but really lacking on lore- it stripped out a bunch of the lore from the Volo's/MToF versions; Radiant Citadel to be very disappointing, with a bunch of anemic adventures without much meat on their bones and no real sense that any of them would be very challenging; Spelljammer to be, again, lacking, especially the adventure (or at least the first chunk of it, I didn't even finish reading past the halfway point, because it was so boring, uninspiring, and railroady); and Call of the Netherdeep to be pretty satisfying, but not great- I'd give it a B or B- grade. It didn't have the level of Far Realm connection I had been expecting, but it was the best of the bunch.

I'm not a fan of DL but I may still end up with it if it sounds like the wargame that is supposedly included is flexible enough and to my liking. I don't have a lot of interest in it otherwise.

I am the reverse, I have little interest in a new D&D wargame set of rules, but I like Dragonlance well enough as a setting.

I bought Monsters of the Multiverse purely for the updated PC races, though it was a bit of an impulse buy long after release. Bought Spelljammer on day one, and found it sadly lacking in meat. I don't normally buy adventures, but I'm going to pick up Dragonlance when it comes out in print next week, because I have a big ol' soft spot for the setting and I'm thinking about trying to start up another group to run it.

None. Interested in Radiant Citadel, but I’m not currently DMing and there’s more chance that I’ll get to be a player in those adventures than that I’ll run them.

For perspective, I've bought three WotC books (including Dragonlance next week) and backed thirteen 5th-ed-based RPG kickstarters this year (and there's another two, possibly three, that I'll probably back before the end of the year). And most of the kickstarters are pushing double the price or more of a typical WotC hardback release once shipping etc is included.
