Bought Mord's and will be buying DL. None of the others interested me at all. I do have nostalgic feelings for DL, which is why I will purchase it, but I doubt it will actually see much use with my group.

I bought Mordenkainen's thinking I would use it but there it sits basically unopened on my shelf. Granted, if I had also bought theFantasy grounds version it might have seen more use but I am tired of buying stuff two or three times.

For perspective, I've bought three WotC books (including Dragonlance next week) and backed thirteen 5th-ed-based RPG kickstarters this year (and there's another two, possibly three, that I'll probably back before the end of the year). And most of the kickstarters are pushing double the price or more of a typical WotC hardback release once shipping etc is included.

Thats a lot of likely large books.

Shockingly, I have not purchased any of the books this year. I kept up for the most part up until recently. I will be skipping DL too.

I think part of this is I am waiting for D&D1 to drop officially. I might pick up an adventure in the meantime.

Considering the ongoing success of the main 3 books, I was looking at things which are supplemental to that. Not sure if I misunderstood what the starter boxed set was though?

I don't think you should have skipped the starter. It has its own adventure, and therefore is a supplemental product like any other. Sure, us "hardcore" D&D-players have less use for it than we do other products (generally), but it's still a pretty major product. (For example, I sold more of them at my FLGS than I did of Netherdeep, and the new starter is still relatively young!

Ah my bad, I'll add it!

Skipped Mordenkainen's Monsters of the Multiverse because I already have the original books they draw from and the accompanying monster card sets. Further, from perusing reviews I don't particularly care for most of the changes they make, especially not enough to stop using the monster statblock cards I have.

I know there as been a lot of Doom and Gloom about D&D products on these boards, but I didn't even realize until this poll that I had my most active purchasing year of 5e! I bought everything except the CR product and I even purchased 2 starter sets for presents! I don't think I have every spent so much on D&D in one year (and that is not including the WizKids Tiamat I gifted myself).
