D&D (2024) You're not planning on getting 2024 D&D? Why is that?

I'm curious about ENWorlders who are currently not interested in purchasing 2024 D&D, and your reasons for that.

We previously had a poll with 172 respondents (as of today, 8-11-2024) which revealed that about half of the survey-responding ENWorlders plan to purchase 2024 D&D (48.2%), about one-third do not plan to purchase (34.9%), and about one-sixth are unsure (16.9%).

EDIT: There's also a more recent 8-17-2024 poll about whether ENWorlders plan to play 2024 rules: D&D General - Will you play the Revised 2024 rules?

There are absolutely good things about the 2024 PHB, like a glossary & an introduction to the game/rules with examples of play - terrific! However, at least here on ENWorld we have enough of a mixed response to warrant further inquiry about why ENWorlders don't want to get 2024 D&D.

So I'm asking about a niche of a niche of a niche. ;) But I'm still asking.

Poll options are based on my own observations; critical thoughts raised by Teos Abadía, Shawn Merwin, Mike Shea, Jorphdan, and Ronald the Rules Lawyer; and concerns I've read folks bring up on ENWorld. They're not all-encompassing. Feel free to select Other, and please share your thoughts!

It just doesn't do enough to fix the problems of 5e, and I'm pretty happy with PF2e, which feels like it does (in the context of my problems with 5e) plus honestly, its too exciting a time in Pathfinderland, what with Mythic coming out in two months, the Starfinder playtest, the Tian Xia Character Guide, and Pathfinder Battlecry slated to come out next summer with my beloved Commander class that plays plenty enough like a Warlord to finally give me one of the most important missing pieces of 4e for PF2e to fully surpass (which it already does for me, in general.)

Rules don't seem any better.
Hasbro/Wizards is not a good company.
The direction of the game style and tone is embracing a 'post-Tashas' feel.
Why would I not just play Shadowdark?

There's nothing holding me here at all. D&D is not my identity, and the nonsense in the new rules interactions is just not it.

While I'm still going to get the books, I'll admit I'm quite concerned with the number of rules issues they've created. I wonder how much of it was inadvertent and how much was deliberate.
What rules issues? I've been playing with the UA for over a year. We haven't had one rules issue. I see threads on this forum with people arguing about the D&D equivalent of angels on the heads of pins, but in actual play, not a problem.
