So, since I made fun of someone else's prediction, I will now offer my own which will likely be not just wrong, but horribly terribly no good.

Croatia v. Brazil: BRAZIL
Netherlands v. Argentina: NETHERLANDS
Morocco v. Portugal: MOROCCO*
England v. France: ENGLAND**

*Okay, if I was putting my own money in it ... Portugal. But I believe!

**I predict the Three Lions will have a rousing, amazing, success that no one sees coming against a superior French team ... only to crash and burn in spectacular fashion in semifinals.

Bonus Post (Hater's Edition)

Most disappointing team, World Cup Edition

1. Germany. Schadenfreude is a German word that means, "Watching Die Mannscaft crash and burn out of the World Cup."

2. Belgium. The team that was always the team of the future is finally, and officially, the team of the past .... without ever bothering to be a team of the present.

3. Denmark. The Euro 2020 semifinalists, and many pundits' pick to win it all ... scored one goal and couldn't get past the Aussies.

4. Italy. Did you know that the Azzurri, one of the most lauded national teams and the winners of the 2020 Euros, didn't even MAKE THE WORLD CUP? Yeah, of course you did. Just had to point it out again.

5. Ronaldo. He's not a team, and Portugal is still alive ... but c'mon. Watching Ronaldo on the bench, watching his team score all those goals and trying to smile? That might have been the greatest performance ever.

Yep. It's the second time in a row that we fail to qualify. And the two Cups before that we went out in the first round. But, hey, in 2006 we won!
