Well, I'm fairly confident...
Your confidence isn't something I use to make my choices.
I made a point I knew I could defend. If you have a problem with that, that's... your problem.

And I corrected it to try and be more inclusive of people who aren't American. I'm not sure why you're pushing back on that, but if you feel moved to do so, then that's certainly your prerogative.Your confidence isn't something I use to make my choices.

Not even that. The 5e DMG goes out of its way to explain multiple other cosmologies that the DM could use. It's just that by default they use all of the planes. Even that isn't where it stops, though. The DMG also says to the DM that he should pick which planes he wants to use when deciding on the cosmology, so it encourages the DM to get rid of planes he doesn't want. All of that is official, being in the DMG.So the Great Wheel is the official cosmology for 5e.
So what?
Of course not. They've made the decision as to what the official cosmology is. Anything else is unofficial, even if it was at one time official in a different edition.
And I corrected it...
Well, that's a difference in personal opinion. I consider instances of anti-inclusive sentiment (even when inadvertent) something to be corrected (or perhaps I should say it's a teachable moment), but I suppose others might not agree. Now, consider how it would position this differently if you said you expanded upon it, rather than correcting a thing that was correct, but not as broad as you'd have liked.
Escalator? It's like watching someone trip over a painted line. It's like watching a prat fall down an escalator.
