The Anti-OGL is now in effect.

The minor adjustments to a future version of it havent come out yet.

People got the Anti-OGL contracts. It is in effect.

I dont think so. It was not yet released?
Hasbro-WotC released the Anti-OGL with NDAs to sign. Apparently, some signed it.

The Anti-OGL is in effect. They already announced it comes into effect on January 13.

Hasbro-WotC never retracted it.

In any case, the "statement" clarifies the OGL 1.0a no longer exists.

Things "already" released with the OGL 1.0a are grandfathered in. But nothing in the future ever will again, according to Hasbro-WotC.

In the opinion of Hasbro-WotC, the OGL 1.0a is dead.

They think they killed it.

What Hasbro-WotC statement says is, the OGL 1.0a is dead.

"Content already released under 1.0a will also remain unaffected."

But any future use of the OGL 1.0a no longer exists − according to Hasbro-WotC.

The worst case scenario is now in effect. In full.

The lawsuits have begun.

This statement from Hasbro-WotC is an other legal monstrosity, employing deceptive tactics and "douchie" comments, like Hasbro-WotC "rolled a 1".

If anything, Hasbro-WotC failed its Intimidation check, plus separately, failed its Deception check and failed its Persuasion check. It also failed its History (Law) check, because it will probably lose its case in court.

I hope a class-action lawsuit against Hasbro-WotC gains massive unprecedented punitive damages from Hasbro-WotC.
well said.

The "new" Anti-OGL is exactly that.

The earlier Anti-OGL is now in effect!

I don't understand you. You are saying that the words "we won’t be able to release the new OGL today" means "we have released the new OGL today"?

I can't keep up with this kind of 4d chess so I'll just bow out of this particular line of discussion.

Today is January 13.

Do I understand correctly that the Anti-OGL (1.1) is now officially in effect?

It doesnt matter if anyone signed on to it.

The "de-authorization" would be now already in place.

Hasbro-WotC can at a later date try claim a precedent, the OGL 1.0a would have been dead since as of today.

Hasbro-WotC never retracted this January 13 deadline.

@DavyGreenwind @S'mon @Snarf Zagyg @Steel_Wind - Could one of you pop over here and say this isn't how licenses work at all and that 1.1 isn't in effect today (or surprise everyone else on here by agreeing that it is in effect I guess)? Non-lawyer types saying it doesn't seem to cut it. Thanks!

At that point I just think of just resubscribing again.

Probably wotc is in a lose - lose situation.
They need to protect themself vs NuTSrlikes and NFTs and so on. That does not work wothout taking a more active stewardship role.

As I said. As long as they don't kill any competitor by disallowing them to produce things under OGL that any sane person would aprove, I am fine.
For a few month we routed for wotc to actually do that against NuTSR.
