D&D General The Fate of Bargle

Is Bargle Guilty, or Not Guilty?

CleverNickName

Limit Break Dancing (He/They)
Bargle the Infamous, known magic-user and member of the Court of Baron Ludwig von Hendriks, has been arrested and will stand trial for crimes against Duke Seftan von Karameikos III. He is currently being held in the dungeons of Threshold, and will soon face trial before Patriarch Sherlane, Cleric of Karameikos. He stands accused of the murder of Aleena the Cleric, who was found slain in the abandoned caves outside of the Town of Threshold.

As a member of the Patriarch's court, you have been asked to weigh in on the fate of the accused. What is your advice?

Once you've answered the Patriarch's question, you may elaborate in the comments below.

Eyewitness Huxley the Fighter gives testimony at the scene of the crime

If someone doesn't make a "CSI: Karameikos" meme for this, I am going to be sad.

Bargle is guilty. I saw him do it.
I was there, man. I was Huxley the Fighter!

(orchestra sting, jury gasps in disbelief)

The Defense is ready to present its next witness.

Morgan Ironwolf.

Ms. Ironwolf, would you please tell the jury about the night in question.

Why yes. I know Bargle couldn't have done it. Because ... I was with him all night.

What do you mean by, "With him."

Oh, I mean ... with him. All night.
