D&D General The Fate of Bargle

Is Bargle Guilty, or Not Guilty?

Dungeon‘s last issue - last, I say, before it was killed off - had an adventure called “Kill Bargle!” Someone put it out of business just after. Very, very suspicious. Murdering this so-called cleric might be the least of Bargle’s many crimes.

Bargle is an known associate of Baron Blackeagle. Baron Blackeagle is a baddie. Guilt by association!

Also, would Duke Karameikos put on trial someone who was innocent? As a patriot, I think not!

In conclusion, objection, theretofore whereas, I rest my case.

Yep, it was a fleshed-out version of the introductory adventure in the Basic Set's DM's booklet—which pleasedme to no end. I ran the adventure for my group not long after that issue of Dungeon came out.

Not only is he guilty of killing Aleena, he's guilty of making me feel miserable every time I open my Basic Set.

(I also want to note that I've always pictured Magic Missile as a glowing arrow rather than a ball of force.)
