D&D (2024) Firearms to be made a fixed part of the game, new Weapons Rules

Hooray for official rules for firearms, hard no to having them in my campaigns.
Come on now, doesn't everyone's campaign world look like this?

They should have firearms in the PHB much like how they did back in 2e (though the 2e Arquebus had the ridiculous exploding damage die rule). It seems that they are at least acknowledging it's the Early Renaissance when firearms were around.

Also actual heavy crossbows, as in the ones with a windlass that you have to crank, took even longer to reload than those primitive firearms where you had to shove and pour things down the muzzle.

I think the most important rule is that you deduct constitution after contineous use of firearms because of lead intoxication.
