I'm never certain the best way to shoot around corners. Mechanically a lot of the others are easy to handle, but that one stumps me.
You use range and line of effect, but not line of sight. It would have to be combined with some way of knowing the target is there, but I think that can easily be handled.

Why? Clearly humans have magical potential. It is blatantly obvious in the existence of a myriad of magical classes and subclasses humans can take. You need to willfully ignore that to have this problem.
Because humans who don't take those classes don't have magic powers by default. I would argue against magical dwarves and halflings for the same reason. These heritages are not depicted as innately magical in the sense most people mean.

yep, which is a frustration, because if we just merged the monk ki concept and divided out unarmed warriors from armed warriors, then this entire thing wouldn't be happening. Because no one demands reasons for the Shadow monk to non-magically teleport. They just accept it.
Sure, because monks have a supernatural narrative, so a subclass of monk that can teleport passes the test. Making use of the ki concept for fighters would, I agree, really help here. But again, they don't.

3PP designers rn have the same design mentality of WOTC's. It's literally a lot of the same people.
Sure, but it doesn't have to be. I'm plenty happy for the most part with how EN Publishing handles these issues in Level Up, for example, and there's plenty of smaller experimental creators out there, not to mention homebrew.

Not sure what you mean. Can you clarify?
Oh well, it's just that, the Weave requires a deity to maintain. See Karsus's Folly or the Spellplague for what happens if that isn't the case. Dark Sun doesn't have gods, and while magic functions differently there, as typical spells tap the lifeforce of living creatures (unless you're a Preserver), it still functions in a fairly stable way.

Unless the Weave has been retconned to make it work, I guess.

Also, even if the Weave is the default, other sources of magic, like Shar's Shadow Weave still exist, right?
