Fair enough.
I haven't had an In-And-Out, but my daughter went to California for a national competition, and when she came back, I asked her about the burger she said, "It is basically a Wendy's. Not sure what the hype is about.".
I'd also add that Whataburger is only marginally superior to Burgerking.
Eh, you either love In-N-Out, or you don't get the hype.
Personally, I love it. It's ... well, the way I think about it is not that's the a great gourmet burger, but it's what McDonald's
should be.
My personal ranking of major fast food chains based upon my personal preferences and the likelihood that I will get a quality burger-
1. Shake Shack. Smoke Shack FTW!
2. In-N-Out. Is a secret menu really secret if everyone is ordering off of it?
3. Five Guys.
4. McDonald's. Nostalgia, if nothing else. Also? FRY THOSE PIES. Seriously.
5. Hardee's/Carl's Jr. It's fine.
6. Wendy's.
7. Getting punched in the face.
8. Burger King. Good Burger King is a'ight. But I've had a lot of bad Burger King. Highest (bad) variability.
9. Pulling off all of your toenails with an icepick.
10. Jack in the Box. Those tacos are two for a dollar. No, they aren't paying you to eat them, although they should.
