I'm partial to Sonic Drive-In for fast-food burgers. I'm from Oklahoma, after all. They have a really good cherry limeade, and really good tots too.

Burgerville (a local chain here in Portland) is my second-favorite, but only when they're not trying to keep their employees from unionizing. I won't cross a picket line, not even for their hand-mixed strawberry milkshakes.

My third-place option for fast-food burgers: Wendy's, because I like their baked potatoes. Sometimes I want my spuds fried, sometimes I want them baked.

I'm from North Carolina so I'm admittedly partial to a "cheese/hamburger all the way."
I'm (mostly; it's complicated) from GA, and the more meat I can put slaw on, the happier I am. Add chili? Heaven.

That said, a good burger with lettuce, tomato, onion, pickle, cheese, and ketchup is mmmmmm good and a standard whenever I have a burger.

Unpopular opinion: the only bottled condiment that belongs on ground meat is mustard.
  • Ketchup is strictly for use on fried potatoes and onion rings, only, forever.
  • Mayonnaise is exclusively for cold poultry sandwiches and tuna salad.
  • And pickle relish is to be left at the store to languish, alone and forgotten and unloved, to atone for the crimes it has committed against sandwiches and cucumbers alike.
  • If you must put a bottled condiment on a burger or sausage or other ground-meat-situation, there's a clue in the name: it must be mustard.

I'm a bit confused about how people are reading what to me is a plain sentence:

"Maybe, but at the risk of throwing out a popular opinion, neither does a gripping RPG [dwell on how often the character sits on a toilet]."

Perhaps you could explain what the alternative reading you are making? Trying to understand what comment you are making here.
I'm pretty sure I understood what you were saying. My post was just for humor. :)

Unpopular opinion: salad - that is to say, anything that remotely looks like a vegetable or fruit - has no place on a burger.

Bun, meat, sauce, ketchup, mustard - OK, now stop there and gimme the damn thing! :)
