D&D 5E Phandelver starting to show up in the wild. NewbieDM looks to be the first!

N1 has a very cool atmosphere, but it is an extremely harsh adventure for first level characters!

It always amazed me that N1 was intended for novice-level DMs. Running undirected investigations is difficult.

It seems to me that N1 is the one really "Classic" tier intro adventure that lacks a 5E adaptation at this point.

My understanding is that it was blended with Keep on the Borderlands as Against the Cult of Chaos during D&D Next. That adventure, sadly, is nowhere to be found on DMs Guild and I've had it on my watchlist at Noble Knight for years with no luck.

Now I want to connect Sunless Citadel, Phandelver and Icespire in a big low-level sandbox campaign, merging all three dragons from the adventure into one single BBEG.

I know my DM @GuyBoy combined Phandelver with Forge of Fury from Yawning Portal. He said it worked really well. There’s the black dragon!

Oh crap, you're right. Forge of Fury's the one with the dragon, Sunless Citadel is the one with the meepo and the crazy druid.

I guess I could probably merge them both to make a mini-mega-dungeon.

Sunless Citadel has Calcryx, the wyrmling white dragon. Meepo is in trouble with his tribe because the goblins stole her from them while he was in charge of her. Of course, Calcryx prefers being with the goblins because they've given her more freedom ...

It's a fantastic blending. It also includes The Village of Hommlet.

At some point they did have some of the rougher early playtest Adventures on DndClassics before the DMsGuild was a thing, but they took them down? The latter, more productized (art, etc.) Adventures are still up.
