D&D General BG3 Massive Spoiler Thread

No. I found it towards the end of Act 2, I think. It grants advantage on all attack rolls, but disadvantage on all saving throws.

Edit: it's called the Risky Ring. You can buy it from someone at Moonrise Towers. So you could actually get it pretty early into Act 2 if you don't put off Moonrise Towers like I did.
I wasn't accusing, I had just seen something like it in a list of "must have mods" for BG3.

Hag swamp with Paladin-passed a save/ability check where forest and sheep turn into bog and a conversation with redcaps who didn’t realize illusion was broken-fnn amazing as my first character never saw this

Speaking of broken combos, my Astarion is a thief rogue dual wielding magic hand crossbows with the Sharpshooter feat and the ring that gives you advantage on all attack rolls.

He easily deals the most consistently high damage in the party.
I'm running Lae'zel as a pure ranged-focus fighter battle master, but otherwise my set-up is the same. The advantage on attacks is well worth the disadvantage on saves.

I would trade all these near useless magic rings and boots and gloves I keep finding for one honest to god Ring of Protection and/or Bracers of Armor.

+1 AC while obscured
If you dash you can jump for free
+1 stealth while in a shadow

Thats great can I just have a +1 RoP, thanks.

There are standard +2 AC bracers, and you can get them really early on (like level 3 - 4), in the basement of the apothecary building in the ruined village that's occupied by the goblins torturing the deep gnome on the windmill.

And you can buy a standard cloak of protection at the Last Light Inn.

Yeah I have both of those, I just want MORE.
Right? There's like one cloak of protection +1 in the game, and no higher plus ones. One pair of bracers with +2 AC to unarmoured - but bracers are in the incredibly competitive gloves slot - so even Monks and the like usually have way stronger options. There are no rings with +1 or more AC (AFAIK).

I feel like the game could honestly stand to have some more "boring" or "normal" magic items just knocking around. Put them overpriced on vendors or whatever.

I’m going to go ahead and guess there are no Rings of Wizardry either.

I just realized there are no wands
