No historian, academic, or scholar has ever used the term "plated mail". I have only seen it used on game forums.

That's just what I mean.
Considering I've had 3 PhD professors who use it as a modern distinguishment between subtypes of Lorica Hamata... those with lamelar shoulders and those without... you might want to avoid the superlative adjectives "always" and "Never." Especially since it then means a single use disproves your argument.

Another unpopular opinion of mine is that GMPCs are a good thing, actually, if used correctly.

And a way Ive found recently to illustrate that is to note that the problems GMPCs tend to have are actually near identical to what plagues companion characters in video games, and as such they carry the same solutions.

Is that actually that unpopular? I kind of associate Germany when it comes to food with two things: sausages and baking.
IME, it's unpopular with Americans who think that our country does everything better than other countries. Also France thinks that it perfected bread with the baguette. 🤷‍♂️

Well, given what both lean into, I'm not at all surprised that France and Germany have a covert baking war. :)
