Ahsoka - SPOILERS

Probably not. It's just a relatively smart animal picking a side.

Ezra has always been particularly good at the "Animal Empathy" Force power, it's pretty much the first one he developed. He can also use the dark side to directly control animals.

Yeah it's a force power from
KotoR or Tales of the Jedi.

And a force point or destiny point in rpg terms.

This episode was chef’s kiss, even though Ahsoka was barely in it!

Going into it, I was thinking, “How are they going to find Thrawn in a whole other galaxy? Are they just going to conveniently end up in the right place?”

But no, it all makes sense: the ancient hyperspace route from the map was one that the ancient Dathomiri Nightsisters used, and it’s one that the purrgil use because the ancient Dathomiri world is also their ancient graveyard (and is thus where they would have taken Thrawn, Ezra, and co.)

It was great to see Ezra again!

Loving all the details.

Wasn’t expecting Thrawn to have a paunch, though.

I want to know what’s up with golden mask guy.

I like Baylan, but Shin’s bad haircut irritates me.

And yeah, we’re totally getting a new take on death troopers. 😜

I'm not convinced the Chimaera was capable of hyperspace travel. Or at least you wouldn't want to risk it more than once eg to get home.

This episode revealed Thrawn had been in communication with Morgan all along, via the Nightsisters using dream communication. Which explains why she is so important, why Ahsoka believed she knew where Thrawn was in The Mandalorian (she did), and suggests the whole Eye of Sion caper was his plan.

The Eye of Sion is clearly designed to transport the Chimera back.
Wasn’t expecting Thrawn to have a paunch, though.
They had to cannibalise his gym to keep the Chimera running.

Eye of Scion probably could do it. Chimera was lacking a few engines. Don think we're gonna see much of this new galaxy.

I suspect they only sent him there because First Order have the hidden threat in unknown regions thing.

Some thoughts on Baylan's personal quest:

Objective: He want's to end the cycle of jedi-sith-jedi-sith victories.

Means 1) He wants a grey-side victory. So he is looking for the Bendu (voiced by Tom Baker in animation), the incarnation of the grey side. This is interesting because the Bindu has a bone to pick with Thrawn, and hence could be the wild card that is needed to defeat him.

Means 2) He wants to destroy the Force all together. This would made him a version of Kreia (KotOR2). It might be significant that Darth Sion was also a character from KotOR2. If he is partially successful, managing to damage the Force, it would explain "The Force Awakens" (I didn't know it had been asleep).
