D&D 5E Check Out Planescape's Table of Contents & More!

Brandes Stoddard has received a copy of Planescape: Adventures in the Multiverse (which come out in two weeks!) and is posting loads of photos over on Blue Sky. You can check out his feed for the whole treasure trove--here's a look at the table of contents.

Ideally I want the lore, but the prose can be evocative for me far more than any art. I loved the $%#@ out of the Cant. It’s what made the setting feel like a real place to me, even with all its weirdness. That it also had among the very few art pieces of any kind that actually spoke to me was a delightful bonus. Not having it is a big loss in my book, no matter how many people disagree with me.

I loved the Cant too, but a lot of people loathed it. I’m not shocked to see it omitted.

I'm not shocked, just very disappointed. As Malcolm Reynolds would paraphrase, "My unhappiness with WotC is certainly coming to a middle".

Some characters are called Knights of the Cross-Trade, and Shemeshka the fox on the adventure cover is known as King of the Cross-Trade. One character called someone Cross-Trading scum. To those unfamiliar with Planescape what do you think that means.

I mean, one of the purposes of a slang is to obsfucate what you’re talking about.

It's only found in one book, if you are reading a different planescape product and don't have that one in hand, it can be hard to understand what many words mean.

Then I guess you should throw the whole thing out then, because it's unreasonable to assume someone reading a Planescape supplement has access to the main setting product, or can remember what some words mean, or use context clues.
