But in other news I recently became a Tom Bombadil stan, and now join the ranks of those who consider his exclusion (as well as much of the Hobbits journey prior to meeting Strider) from the movies to be a total sin. No doubt if this keeps up (Im listening to LOTR for the first time as an adult) I'll likely have the same opinion on the Scouring of the Shire.

Tom Bombadil just goes to prove that Tolkien loved drugs. I don't think Tolkien ever did drugs. But I reckon he'd have loved them.

And the Scouring of the Shire is an important conclusion/denouemont for the story. Without it a lot is lost.

Re: Bagels

My faves are Everythings, followed by onion, garlic and egg. I can’t stand any of the ones made with fruit and/or cinnamon.

My favorites are plain with either just cream cheese or cream cheese and lox, onion bagel with plain cream cheese, and poppy seed. Also honorable mention for a salt bagel with yellow mustard on it. I generally am not a fan of toasting bagels unless they are old (I can't eat them anymore but when I could and did----worked in a Jewish Bakery/bagel shop growing up----I tried to get them soon after they were made: most places were on a regular schedule for their baking)
