WCW in general was peak wrestling, only topped by Mankind plummeting 16 feet through the announcers table.

I only made it up to wrestle mania 4 as a kid. I remember being really into it in the mid-80s, but losing interest when I hit middle school

4e is about to undergo a renaissance due to games like Icon and Gubat Banwa.

I don't think itll happen unless WOTC decides to either A, open up the real 4e to CC, or B, readopt it as the mainline DND.

Pf2e for all its differences already filled that niche and its more or less maxed out as far as its influence goes.

I'm not surprised. I have a surpising ability to retain a lot of %#%#%# trivia for some reason.

To me he's always going to be the man with the glasses from They Live.

That's more a forlorn hope than an opinion.

I wouldn't say that. Ive noticed that there's a growing appetite for more indepth systems lately; the appeal of rules light/storygaming is burning out, if slowly.

4e and its derivatives could very well come into their own if that trend continues.

4e's version of indepth is idiosyncratic IMO, owing to its heavy emphasis on mechanics trumping in-game narrative and its highly player-centric (to the point of rendering the DM a facilitator more than anything else) style. The stuff that's indepth is mostly on the player side rather than the DM.
