D&D General BG3 Massive Spoiler Thread

Also, that astral tadpole wrecking your look was such a downer.
It's amazing how fans of Quality CRPGs hate games where there's any sort of negative repercussions to power-fantasy nonsense. (Even a game like BG3, which desperately wants to imply negative plot consequences for such a choice when there is none whatsoever. Because again, that'd get in the way of the white-male power fantasy.)

It’s amazing how you can’t control your impulse to step right up to performative insults. You don’t even know me but hand wave at the worst assumptions like you shouldn’t have any negative consequences.

My PC/steam save wont transfer to the PS5 but the PS5 save transfers to the PC. Sad.

While I hope a fix comes soon (as Ive tried everything), I've started a DUrge on the PS5. Oathbreaker Paly. Which I hadn't planned to break so quickly but kind of forced into a fight with some Tieflings.

What's the least evil way to get Mithara into the group and who will I lose for doing so?

Probably just not taking a side in the Druid/Goblin conflict. Never talk to Minthara, leave the area and the Grove will complete its ritual.

Halsin dies, the Tieflings get killed on the road, but you had nothing to do with it. You keep Wyll and Karlach too. There's plenty of XP to still hit max level.

There IS a way to also save Halsin, but things get glitchy with both Minthara and Halsin alive.

I guess you meet her later if you don’t talk to her and move on?

I took her down because I was trying to stick to a good path. But I’ve heard of you don’t kill her she reappears in Act 2 in a scene where she is scolded for failures in Act 1. Not sure how that goes if you’re going for a good path.

Ive read that you can release Halsin and then leave the goblin camp and proceed to Act 2 (IE dont resolve goblin/grove and dont go back to either camp). Reach moontower and get Minthara. Find the "lost kid" quest that ties to Halsin and then go BACK to the goblin camp and tell Halsin about the lost kid and he will join you.

No idea if this actually works though.

Hahaha yes there's a real cultural difference on "what colour should coats be", with black being the main colour in the UK, but seemingly almost frowned-upon in the US.

Yes. Rainwear also differ among different regions in the US.

In NYC, black everything is the uniform. And they use umbrellas.

Whereas here in western Washington (the state with Seattle, WotC, and Paizo, not the Nation’s Capital (tm)), umbrella use is heavily frowned upon and rainwear tends towards “functional” athleisure - like my allegedly for surfers jacket in London and Columbia jackets from Oregon.

When I lived in Wisconsin (and no, not a D&D employee, just have lived near them twice!) I think it was pretty similar to Washington, just less expensive versions. Probably similar to Indiana.

It works, but it's clear it's not intended. Minthara and Halsin will overlap each other in several places, like your camp, and some cutscenes.

You can also download one of the Minthara Mods. One prevents Minty from dying during the siege (even if you try) so you can recruit her later. The other mod gives you a ring to outright summon her then recruit her into your party.

I've never gotten her because I have always killed Minthara. But from what I understand you can potentially find her in Moonrise Tower in Act 2 where she is being sentenced to death by Ketheric Thorm for her failure at the Druid's Grove. You pretend you are a true soul and then head down to the dungeons and rescue her before she is executed.

During my first playthrough I thought if you go to Moonrise you are locked into fighting Ketheric and cannot leave. But with a little deception you can head there early and come and go as you like.
