21st May 2024 is the official release date!
Update--WotC has taken down the promo image and replaced it with one without a release date. See more here.
ok.That's not the cover. That's the Fighter's introduction page. It was shown with a description of what a fighter IS on the bottom of the page.
Does that really matter? The picture looks awesome. It does not have to be 100% realistic. Going by that, you can throw away a good chunk of fantasy art.Didn't anyone from the art department had a hour of HEMA training in their lives?
What do you mean, they are wrapping up the PHB tests? Core rules basically done, 45 of 48 Subclasses locked down and 9 of 12 Classes already complete. I doubt we will get another PHB packet. May sounds exactly right.already in May?
don't want to be a downer, but this might be too early.
PT is still half-arsed job TBH,
honestly, I was expecting it for December and holiday season.

And they are wrong and it's due time to explain to them how weapons look. That does not meah I like realistic art. But having seen original morning stars and weaponry, I can say, that most people without any real knowledge (of math and physics and HEMA training) would claim, that those weapons are tiny.
He probably means, he does not like the nearly done playtest. At least this is how I read his threads on that matter. Sometimes I wonder if he does not like 5e at all. What do you mean, they are wrapping up the PHB tests? Core rules basically done, 45 of 48 Subclasses locked down and 9 of 12 Classes already complete. That Tasha is great, yeah.ok.
it was the 1st picture and with release date on it.
it sure looked like promo cover picture
still sucks...
personally, this is one of my favorite 5E arts:
What? They said they started printung this week, and we'd have it in six.....What is totally irrelevant for a book release.
They said the ranger "passed" the audience score, I just hope that that pass was not by 69,51% rounded up to 70%. Also the statement that they are going with combo of 2 versions of playtest.I'd say that Monk and possibly Druid need another pass before it's ready. There's also a bunch of spells and feats that probably should be looked at too. So it's probably for the best they almost immediately retracted that release date.
No, they started reprinting the CARDS (and presumably repackaging the rest). THAT takes 6 weeks. It's not really comparable to printing books. Even less, to printing big fat CORE books. What? They said they started printung this week, and we'd have it in six.....
