Does that really matter? The picture looks awesome. It does not have to be 100% realistic. Going by that, you can throw away a good chunk of fantasy art.
That does not mean I don't like realistic art. But having seen original morning stars and weaponry, I can say, that most people without any real knowledge (of math and physics and HEMA training) would claim, that those weapons are tiny.

What do you mean, they are wrapping up the PHB tests? Core rules basically done, 45 of 48 Subclasses locked down and 9 of 12 Classes already complete. I doubt we will get another PHB packet. May sounds exactly right.

I always search through hundreds of arts online when I'm looking for an image for my new PC just because I'm looking for something realistic.

And they are wrong and it's due time to explain to them how weapons look.

He probably means, he does not like the nearly done playtest. At least this is how I read his threads on that matter. Sometimes I wonder if he does not like 5e at all.

When it comes to that Fighter picture, I think everyone was so excited that the tweet version (as opposed to the slide version, that showed the actual PAGE from the PHB that it represents) showed a (very likely wrong) release date, that they went with that.

To me, the more exciting part of that image is that it was intended to show that each of the classes get a full-page (minus the class description text at the bottom) piece of art to inspire characters of that type.

The same was true for Subclasses (a full-length piece of art on the right, with the subclass text on the left). And Backgrounds got a half-page each.

They're using Art to make the books more beautifully organized. No sections crossing over onto the next page. I like it.

What? They said they started printung this week, and we'd have it in six.....

I'd say that Monk and possibly Druid need another pass before it's ready. There's also a bunch of spells and feats that probably should be looked at too. So it's probably for the best they almost immediately retracted that release date.

They said the ranger "passed" the audience score, I just hope that that pass was not by 69,51% rounded up to 70%. Also the statement that they are going with combo of 2 versions of playtest.

Also we haven't seen big feat PT since PT2 so it might be good idea to include ALL feats that they have on the drawing board for next playtest.

or just dump everything out in PT what they think it's ready or not.

No, they started reprinting the CARDS (and presumably repackaging the rest). THAT takes 6 weeks. It's not really comparable to printing books. Even less, to printing big fat CORE books.
