21st May 2024 is the official release date!
Update--WotC has taken down the promo image and replaced it with one without a release date. See more here.
I don't think this is the cover art. It's the full page art for the fighter class (in the Pax video, the image has fighter text on it) that is just being used as a placeholder for the PHB.hmm, the art for cover... where to begin?
I doubt that any of that makes any difference whatsoever on the release date. That's a very small concern in the grand scheme of making the books, even if it's a larger concern when it comes to later playing the game.I'd say that Monk and possibly Druid need another pass before it's ready. There's also a bunch of spells and feats that probably should be looked at too. So it's probably for the best they almost immediately retracted that release date.
... Good for you?Won't be purchasing regardless of the release date...
Based on the reception Iseeing, I think Packet 9 is it for any Classes and Subclasses.I'd say that Monk and possibly Druid need another pass before it's ready. It seems to me that they are done with Feat feedback, and are wrapping things up now. They said the ranger "passed" the audience score, I just hope that that pass was not by 69,51% rounded up to 70%. Also the statement that they are going with combo of 2 versions of playtest.
Also we haven't seen big feat PT since PT2 so it might be good idea to include ALL feats that they have on the drawing board for next playtest.
or just dump everything out in PT what they think it's ready or not.
Do you mean by "Packet 9" the 9th packet that they called "UA8" that we already have, or the next one?Based on the reception Iseeing, I think Packet 9 is it for any Classes and Subclasses.
Lol, sorry, the latest one. I don't see the feedback requiring another go at any more Class/Subclass material.Do you mean by "Packet 9" the 9th packet that they called "UA8" that we already have, or the next one?
I agree. I think we're done with PHB stuff. Not that they won't still try to fix whatever "we" (those that fill out the survey) don't like about this one - that's the whole point - but I don't think that they'll feel the need to show us what that looks like until it's done.Lol, sorry, the latest one. I think they'll have the info they need to push forward with ironing out the final math. May was earlier than I was expecting, but...it seems plausible.I agree. I think we're done with PHB stuff.
