Look at the articles on D&D Beyond now. Most of them could be applied to other editions or game systems. The "must return clean copy" is the hard bit, not the "must know 5e".

No idea what's on D&D beyond. Also I did say depends on what they ask for

Clean copy figure of speech confuses me - does it mean "don't require lot of work from spellchecker/editor before publishing"? Or something like "have properly formatted files"?

In this context it's work which doesn't require substantial editing, properly formatted, free of errors.
