You think D&D is made for Middle Schoolers? To clarify between the ages of 11 and 14?
Yes, 100%, absolutely zero doubt. It is listed on the products thst they are for ages 12+. Middle schoolers and high schoolers are who theybare marketing products to most directly.

And I assure you, my kids will love these images.

I'd say "made for" and "can be used by" are 2 different things, but I get where you are coming from.
In terms of "made for", they have formally stated many times thwt their "target demographic" is ages 12-24. That means they are making the game for people ages 12-24.

Now, the designers are clearly also having fun, D&D is all-ages at heart. But it is not weird when the game made for teens has art aimed at teens.

Looks like someone whipped out the ol' 2E DM's Design Kit and World Builder's Guidebook and updated the forms from there.

I'll be curious to see if I end up using the new forms - I printed out dozens of the old 2E one, but never really ended up using them (and they are useful).

When first talking about his goals for the new DMG, Perkins mentioned that boo and the 1E Dungeon Master's Design Kit by Aaron Allsolton that was a similar worksheet based book of advice.

For the curious, the 2E forms...

The book (DM's Design Kit) had a ton more as well.
