So bard spell list only up to level 5?
That was from when they were experimenting with unified spell lists and the bard chose one (Arcane, Divine, or Primal) to start with.

They've since reverted that, so Bard has a distinct class spell list again now, which would presumably include anything they want kept "bard exclusive" regardless of level. They just ALSO get the full cleric, druid, and wizard lists to choose from once they hit level 10.

Yes. But does the bard have exclusive spells? If not, they can save the space and not do a list for level 6+ at all. Because they have way more spells to chose from anyway.

A cursory search of Beyond shows that Vicious Mockery and Power Word Heal are bard exclusive, at least as of the 2014 ruleset. Hardly a comprehensive list, but a couple of examples from opposite ends of the spell level spectrum, so that would imply bards will probably have some spells unique to them.

With the comment on the valor bard picture about casting with focus and shield in hand, that you are always allowed to add a focus to the component list, even if it does not specify m. That makes a lot of features in subclasses retroactively useful (spirit bard e. g.)

Ok, so maybe it is a very very short list then.

Base Bard Class Notes

sigh

Well, I got Greyhawk. I suppose I should be generous, and say that I'm happy for people, yada yada yada ....

HA HA! No.

As we all know, there are only two things I truly despise in the world- those who are intolerant of other people's choices in roleplaying games, and people who play bards.
