💀 Mandate content provenance systems (e.g. C2PA + watermarks) in all gen ai products and services

💀 Make it ILLEGAL to remove "content provenance" data

💀 Make it ILLEGAL to use tracked content to train ai or use as input to ai

💀 Create a "cause of action" to make it easy to seek "compensatory damages" from entities that "improperly use" copyrighted works with ai

So protection or surveillance or both?

yeah for megacorps being the only one who can afford to license millions/billions of media files to train on.

Have the game companies, the folks who entertain us, agreed to not duplicate voice actors with AI yet, or are we replacing those jobs?

most realistic comment: "Most consumers won't know the difference or care,"
It's extremely disingenuous and they know it. They're using AI regardless so consumers don't have a choice. Whether this is accurate or not is immaterial; it's a perception they're gaslighting into reality because they have the resources to do so.

We need to call AI what it really is: a capital strike. They're not replacing jobs with AI because it improves anything; they're using the threat of AI as leverage against the labor force.

Looks like the video game industry's voice actors are going on strike over AI.
and there's caveats, so who knows how successful they will be.
