D&D (2024) I just got a 2024 PHB From Gen Con. AMA!

Oh! What are the rules for starvation, dehydration, and suffocation? And relatedly, what are the effects of exhaustion?
Ohhhh man, the exhaustion is cool. It's six levels, and you die if you get to six. When you make a D20 test, the roll is reduced by 2× your exhaustion. Additionally, your speed is reduced 5× exhaustion.

Dehydration: certain amount of water is needed each day, based on size (1 gallon for medium). If you drink less than half for the day, you get 1 level of exhaustion.

Starvation is renamed malnutrition, and it is the same except you can make a DC 10 CON save to prevent it.

Suffocation: Same, except 1 level of exhaustion at the end of each turn in which you are suffocating

I can answer the exhaustion one. It's a Condition that accumulates. Level 6, you die. Level 1-5 gives you -2 per level to all d20 Tests and -5ft of movement per level. No mention of Save DCs (which I think is silly). You remove one level at the end of a long rest.

Edit: Woops! Beat to it!

Fantastic, thank you!

Warlock's Chain Pact has new options, some of which we've seen stats for and some we haven't. The Sphinx of Wonder, for example, got an official preview. But there was a last minute addition of the Venomous Snake, and I don't think we know anything detailed about its stats.

Could you glance at the creature stats Appendix and tell us how the Venomous Snake compares to the heavy hitter Chain Pact options like Imp and Pseudodragon?

Considering the Statblock of the Green Dragon will have it cast Charm Monster a lot, I am curious if the spell changed. Would you be willing to show the Charm Monster Spell.
