What gets me worried is that there is no D&D webpage anymore - only dndbeyond. And I can't imagine that they will put a download link for a pdf there. Which would mean that I have to have a dndbeyond account to make a pen and paper character?!

Go to D&D Beyond and click New Player Guide in the top menu. Scroll down a little to a big box that says "PLAYING WITH PEN & PAPER", click it and you'll get a PDF character sheet.

Right now that's still the old character sheet - but we can assume that it will be updated very soon.

Heroic Inspiration lets you reroll any die (not just D20s) after rolling it, and you must take the new roll. If you gain Heroic Inspiration but already have it, you can pass it to someone else!

No, Heroic Inspiration replaces the regular Inspiration.

Bardic Inspiration is still its own thing and works more or less the same way, except that it last for an hour instead of only 10 minutes, and you use it after failing the die roll rather than having to use it when you roll.

Can I reroll the lower of my two rolls when I have Advantage? That way, even if I have to keep the result, I can still choose the other die.

(they may yet clarify that maybe rolled hitpoints should not actually be a part of this)
