So far all of the influencers I have watched seem to be preventing people from looking at the content on pages, for the most part, except for glimpses here and there.

LOL! It is like Dead Sea Scroll scholars, once upon a time, hoarding documents and denying access, so they can be the one that gets all the credit.

Unfortunately, no. When I tried to access the link I shared with two of my RPG group, I was taken to a YouTube page that told me that I had to sign in, in order to see it. So, unless you have a YouTube account, the page-by-page review by DnD Shorts has gone private.

In the past when a new book came out, the influencers would open it up for the first time, and literally go thru it page-by-page. Share what the book is.

D&D players want to see the content for themselves and see what their own analysis and feelings are about it.

I can't think of a good reason why the books can't be shown now that the NDA is lifted and copies have been sold at GenCon. WotC gonna WotC I guess.

It's still, y'know, copyrighted material.

I've been quite surprised the last few days. I mean the books are OUT! the info is live and official! I expected dozens and dozens of threads discussing every crumb, every nuance.

Instead....its like half a dozen threads, and there are tons of sections in the book not even being discussed. We have links to a few videos covering a lot of things from the influencers....but very little actually posted in the forum.

Where did the hype go?

Actually, there is very little content from the book itself coming from the influencers.

Besides echoing the opinions of the influencers, there is little to say about the book itself.

Yeah, it's pretty weird too. WoTC gives the DnD Shorts Guy a copy of their new 2024 PHB so that he can look at it and post a YouTube review of it on August 1st. Which he does so in great detail. Then the review goes private.

What was WoTC expecting the DnD Shorts Guy to do? Give praise to all of the 'good' stuff that's in the new PHB and hide all of the 'bad' stuff from everybody? They should have known better.
