Yeah, prone on a hit if the beast moved 20 feet in a line. No saveThis might be a bit obscure. The beasts seem to not need a saving throw to prone and perhaps poison enemies anymore. Does the primal companion of the land still prone enemies and do they still require a saving throw?

If the d20 roll for an attack is a 1, the attack misses regardless of any modifiers or the target’s AC.
yes its actually on saving throws you might be thinking of (which is a change from 3e/4e and is often a forgotten rule in 5e).It was the official rule in 2014 as well.
