D&D (2024) Copper Dragon Preview

Human? On the right? I thought that was a 2014-style Halfling playing another lute. The figure on the far left is clearly using a tamborine and the dragon is "dancing" in a way that seems to indicate it should have castanets.

This picture is so over the top and silly. It is not to my liking, as I generally prefer my artwork more towards a serious tone* and a bit on the gritty/dark side.

* One of my favorite pictures is 2E's "The Dragon Slayers", but the characters there are attempting to be serious.

Why silly? Copper dragons have long been described as pranksters who like to ‘host’ bards to entertain them and laugh at their jokes (- why are you not laughing?)

It could have been a brass dragon and everyone playing trumpets- with a punny title like The Big Brass Band.
