wait really? I wonder why dwarf? how about elf can they be small? can you make a tall halfling or gnome that is medium?Humans can be small now. So you can play a small human on a mastif knight
P.S.: Aasimar and Tiefling can be small too .. but not dwarves, they have to stay medium![]()
man about five years ago I had a player that was obsessed with dual wielding halberds, he moved and left the campaign but I was working up to it eventually2 houserule feats:
1. Dual wielder fix: you can now dual wield all onehanded weapons, not just light.
2. "new" feat:
Monkey grip, min STR 15+
+1 str
you can one treat twohanded MELEE weapons as one handed.
here you go, with 2 feats, you can now dual wield greatswords, lances, whatever...
It seems only humans, aasimar and Tieflings can choose their size. They reasoned it (in a Video) with that their are real life small humans and want to open the option to play one .. which sounds fine by me. But I wonder how many will use that option just for min/maxing builds.wait really? I wonder why dwarf? how about elf can they be small? can you make a tall halfling or gnome that is medium?
I just assumed all the rac...species would get "they are normally X but can be Y" language.
It muddies the waters, I feel. Especially when a lot of their other races are making strong claims about biological defaults (and only some are allowed to have subraces). And it seems silly to call someone a dwarf when they literally cannot be small...It seems only humans, aasimar and Tieflings can choose their size. Well, for 10 years they had disadvantage to attack adjacent targets (just to have d12 damage vs halberd/glaive d10).In 10 y of playing 5e, there wasn't a single time someone took lance.
Spears are so passe, it's all about Tridents now! Unless... you're a Polearm Master, in which case it applies to spears but not tridents, which are totally not like spears at all, it seems...On foot, lance is just very bad spear, and everything that can be used with spears ( polearm master) should be usable with lance.
It's crazy good there, for sure. Dual spears are somehow faster than a single spear, and reach farther, for twice the damage.Looking around, it appears dual lances / dual spears is an Elden Ring thing?
