It’s pretty easy to fix with a new cave map, and it has lots of nostalgia value and an archetypal scenario. Seems better than letting it rot to me.
Nostalgia for all the 12 year old new players?

My players are interested in things from the early days of D&D despite not having been born at the time.Nostalgia for all the 12 year old new players?
That’s not what nostalgia means though. My players are interested in things from the early days of D&D despite not having been born at the time.

Doesn’t matter what you call it, people like stuff from before they were born. My home town has a WW2 nostalgia festival. Pretty sure very few of the people who attend are over 80!That’s not what nostalgia means though.
And the WW2 festival doesn’t actually involve getting bombed.Sure, then go get it.
"Heroes of the Borderlands" is not 'the early days' its a masquerading as such for reasons.

It does matter. Words mean things. If they didn’t these conversations would be much much shorter.Doesn’t matter what you call it, people like stuff from before they were born. My home town has a WW2 nostalgia festival. Pretty sure very few of the people who attend are over 80!
It’s the latter, that’s what people want.I would hope its an accurate reflection of remembrance, or is it light on detail and heavy on nationalism and pageantry?
