D&D Beyond has a new adventure featuring the cast of the Dungeons & Dragons cartoon as playable characters. Today, D&D Beyond released Uni and the Hunt for the Lost Horn as a free adventure for all D&D Beyond subscribers. The adventure, which was originally released at PAX West as a part of D&D's 50th anniversary celebration, is a Level 4 adventure. As part of the adventure, players can use pre-made character sheets for the 1980s Dungeons & Dragons cartoon characters, now grown up. A seventh character, Niko, is also in the adventure as a new character who came from a different set of real-world adventurers stuck in the world of Dungeons & Dragons. Uni and the Hunt for the Lost Horn also features a grown-up Uni and Kelek of League of Malevolence and D&D toy fame.

You can take a look at the grown up cast of the D&D cartoon (plus Niko) below:

The adventure lore also conflicts with the new comic books.

The comics say they have always been in Faerun, where as this adventure indicates they were in The Realm and Faerun is not that.
Aren't all novels, comics, etc supposed to be considered non-canonical?
Yep, according to their 2021 statement on canon (which disappeared during the migration to the DDB site), every "expression" of D&D is treated as its own canon. So this digital module contradicting the IDW comics is consistent with that. Of course, that also means these characters are the 2024 core rules canon iteration, and not actually the characters from the original cartoon...

Mind, since some folks seemed unhappy with moving the kids to the Forgotten Realms, this could be an attempt to mollify that crowd (by restoring them to their own setting).

Hey hey. My computer has decided to forget my DDB password (I swear 90% of every day is spent recovering or reseting passwords because the one my Mac/iPhone says it is is wrong) and I just can't reset another password today. It's exhausting. I've decided to limit things to 1,300,424 password resets per day.

Could anybody share some stats of the cartoon characters? Not the whole stat block but at least class, level, subclass, background, ability scores (I guess species is all human)?

Thanks!
That's frustrating about the passwords!

Yes, they're all human, and they're all single-classed level 4 PCs. Each PC's unique magic item is very rare.

Bobby is a berserker barbarian with the farmer background. He has his thunderous greatclub. Stats are Str 20* Dex 14 Con 16 Int 10 Wis 10 Cha 14. He has the Great Weapon Master, Skilled, and Tough feats.
*The thunderous greatclub sets his Strength to 20. It doesn't specify what his Strength is when not attuned to the greatclub.

Diana is an Open Hand monk with the scribe background. She has her quarterstaff of the acrobat. Her stats are Str 10 Dex 18 Con 14 Int 10 Wis 14 Cha 10. Her feats are Skilled, Tough, and Weapon Master (Quarterstaff).

Eric is a champion fighter with the noble background. He has his shield of the cavalier. He also has a longsword, a dagger, and a heavy crossbow. His stats are Str 18 Dex 12 Con 14 Int 14 Wis 10 Cha 8. His feats are Defense Fighting Style, Shield Master, Skilled, and Tough.

Hank is a hunter ranger with the guard background. He has his energy bow. Stats are Str 14 Dex 16 Con 14 Int 10 Wis 14 Cha 10. His feats are Ability Score Improvement (?), Alert, Archery Fighting Style, and Tough.

Niko is a life cleric with the hermit background. She has a magic weapon called Niko's mace. Her stats are Str 14 Dex 10 Con 13 Int 8 Wis 18 Cha 14. Her feats are Ability Score Improvement (?), Healer, and Tough.

Presto is an evoker wizard with the scribe background. He has his hat of many spells. His stats are Str 8 Dex 14 Con 12 Int 18 Wis 10 Cha 14. His feats are Skilled, Spell Sniper, and Tough.

Shiela is a thief rogue with the farmer background. She has a cloak of invisibility. Her stats are Str 8 Dex 16 Con 12 Int 14 Wis 14 Cha 12. Her feats are Lucky, Skulker, and Tough.

It is lazy and they also don't care about the cartoon as much as a segment of the fandom does.

The good news is that they are pushing these characters hard, which seems to almost certainly point to them trying to get something new going with them.

I suspect that won't be without its own drama -- it's entirely likely that this would be a new series replacing the original stories, rather than a continuation of them -- but it will be a definitive new continuity.
I can guarantee you some some of the creators in high places are absolutely fans of the cartoon.

Thank you!

Thank you!
No worries. Note: Some of the characters' feat descriptions indicate what choice was made for that feat (e.g. Diana's Weapon Master feat says, "You have selected Quartstaffs"), but there's no indication which ability scores were improved by Hank's and Niko's Ability Score Improvement feats.

EDIT: I'll also add that each PC has a one-page image as their character sheet, followed by the details of their character traits, feats, class features, etc. You can download a PDF for each PC that includes the character sheet front page, plus the full descriptions of their abilities and magic items.

It's also nice to see that Tyler Jacobson is credited for each character's portrait on the character sheet.

This is the PHB Game-day Adventure. I ran it a few weeks ago. It's pretty cute, but I didn't find it to be a particularly great intro-to-D&D adventure. Actually, no, the adventure was fine but the pregens needed work - primarily in how information is presented. It was very difficult for people to find what their characters could do without passing me their character sheet so I could find it for them. (Seeing as how I know where to look).
True. I hack the spell casters pdf and add the spell save and spell attack to the first page.
