It wouldn't shock me. I concluded a long time ago that its kind of shocking how many actors are at least competent singers, and sometimes much better.
As least in the UK, a lot of actors go to theatre schools. I once went for a job interview at one, so I got a brief overview of what it is like. They spent a lot of time doing music and dance, as well as acting.

(I didn’t get the job!)

The average actor probably has more professional singing training than the average pop star.

And just think; In the past it used to be even moreso. Think of all the Golden Age actors who also danced, sang, etc. in movies. Back then they weren't generally dubbed. It was actually them, though it might have been ADRed later to get it perfect.

A fair number of them either do that and/or get their start in theater including musical theater over here too. You just sometime find the most amazing singing voices out of actors you wouldn't necessarily expect it in.

All it needs to tell you is that in "The Greatest Showman" there was only supposedly only one person who's singing voice is dubbed, and that was because even though that actress is capable of singing, she and the director agreed they needed a better singer since she's representing a character who, even in context, is supposed to be an outstanding one.

I prefer the night lighting on Wednesday.

Otherwise, it's a fun episode. The Liza Minelli look! They all looked great.

All modern actors learn how to 'place their voice' for signing during acting school. They can competently sing, but it's different from a professional singer with real talent. Some actors are better singers than actors.

In old Hollywood of the 1940-60s, you were required to know three things if you wanted roles: how to ride a horse, to sing and to dance. It started to fade in the 70s when the studio system crumbled because it could not compete against the small-budget independent films shot on location, like Serpico, Taxi Driver, etc.
