Autocorrect is the devil.
Too late. This guy reveals all the voice manipulation music engineers are doing to classic songs, going from Judy Garland to Freddy Mercury and even new releases. edit: many pop singers don't perform 'naturally' on stage, everything is pre-recorded using Pitch correction and Autotune. They lipsync. They call that a live 'performance', which does not mean 'live singing'. Celine Dion's performance at the Olympics was pre-recorded, and a performance. She did not sing live. Which does not surprise me given her health condition.

It sounds like they stripped any resonance out of his voice, when they Autotuned it. Can't wait to see what these same engineers would do with Jazz vocals. (I really can wait. Forever.)

So Aubrey Plaza was being interviewed by Desi Lydic and was asked who would be in her "dream coven" and she named a politician and a bunch of actresses, including Patti. But then at the end she added "Nicolas Cage" and I feel like that was either an accidental admission or a deliberate nod to her character being like the MCU's Blackheart, given that Blackheart is who Ghost Rider fought in the first film. (I think that Ghost Rider lowkey has one of the best examples of unintended consequences in film: "Now you have a thousand souls to burn!" It is up there with, "You wanted to be a genie? Well you can have it - and everything that comes with it!")

I still think it is possible it was an admission, accidental or deliberate. But after posting that I also remembered that during this same interview she was just talking about the movie she made with Francis Ford Coppola so it is at least also plausible that Nic Cage was on her mind naturally too.

Why on earth would you pitch correct Freddie Mercury (the man had impeccable timing and pitch already)
