Free League is resurrecting the classic Path of Glory campaign for Dragonbane. Today, Free League announced that it would publish a new "reimagined and updated" version of Path of Glory for its Dragonbane RPG, with a planned release date of November 12, 2024. This marks Dragonbane's first campaign book since Free League re-launched the RPG for an English audience.

The original Path of Glory was published in 1985 and 1986 for Drakar och Demoner, the original Swedish version of Dragonbane. The adventure is split into three installments - The Dead Forest, Gates of Power, and Heart of Darkness. Free League worked with original author Roger Undhagen to update the rules for the campaign for this new edition.

Also included in the modern edition of Path of Glory is a large double-sided map by Francesca Baerald, new illustrations by David Brasgalla and new cover art by Johan Egerkrans. Digital versions are currently available for pre-order at the Free League webshop.

Where or how did you get it as the Free League site still shows preorder for it. Just curious.
This announcement was made like a year ago. Some copies are already in the hands of the public (I've seen them).
The book won't hit retail until November.

The public copies are pre-orders that are being shipped for the last couple of weeks (I got my copy early.)

I think this campaign may become the go-to for Dragonbane.

Maybe a bit early, but a couple of questions for those lucky enough to have this.

1. The campaign included in the box set is for the most part fantastic, how does this stack up? I've heard a couple of criticisms that it reuses ideas from that campaign in parts and it can also be a little rail roady.

2. Following on from this, could a group that's completed the box set campaign carry on into this or would it be too easy?

I can't answer question 1 since I haven't read it in depth yet, but for question 2, the campaign is explicitly for more experienced characters, and there is a section of advice for GMs who want to carry on their campaign from Secret of the Dragon Emperor (the campaign in the boxed set) to Path of Glory. There are in fact a few threads that link the two campaigns.

I'm currently running Secret of the Dragon Emperor, and, assuming my crew want to keep playing once we wrap it up, I plan to move directly into Path of Glory.
