D&D General You Can Now Make Greyhawk Stuff On DM's Guild!

Greyhawk_Legacy.png

As of today, third party creators can publish and sell material set in the World of Greyhawk! Dating back to the dawn of Dungeons & Dragons, Greyhawk has an entire chapter devoted to it in the new 2024 Dungeon Master's Guide.

Right now you can check out some legacy official content from Wizards of the Coast, but expect more to start appearing there as soon as the third party creators get their teeth into it.

Then I look forward to seeing your material on DMs Guild. To me, the choice isn't as cut and dried.
As of yet I have no desire to make money off D&D. What I make I offer it freely here and on the UA reddit. If I do decide I want to make money (or at least recoup costs), it will likely not be on the Guild as I am generally not interested in WotC IP. If that stance changes, then on the Guild it will go. Clear and simple from my perspective.

I loved this setting, was gritty and hardcore, i played in it with an old ex-hippy DM 1st edition, while listening to Pink Floyd and Led Zeppelin records. We would start at dawn and play well into the night, even if i had to go to work at the local dinner the next day, good times. I ran it as a DM when 2nd edition (my edition) came out and i was influenced heavily by Gygax and his style. I still might check some of it out looking forward to seeing how it is presented.

Here is the list of dmsguild legal settings.

Approved Official Settings for Dungeon Masters Guild Products

DMsGuild creators are allowed to use the following official Dungeons & Dragons settings:

  • Forgotten Realms
  • Ravenloft
  • Eberron
  • Spelljammer
  • Planescape
  • Dragonlance
  • Radiant Citadel
  • The Magic: The Gathering settings of:
    • Ravnica
    • Theros

That leaves Darksun, Mystara, and Birthright as the major classic settings leftout, long with minor settings like Ghostwalk, Pelinore, Council of Wyrms, etc..., and of course other MtG settings like Duskmourn, Bloomborrow, Eldraine, Tarkir, etc...
