Spoilers Agatha All Along discussion

It’s not quite that - it isn’t a period piece as such … reports are that is set in a different multiverse in which it is modern day but what a modern day would be if the whole 1960’s Tomorrow Land ascetic became a reality in the modern world.

By the end of the movie, the Fantastic Four are said to somehow end up in ‘our’ MCU reality …

So, instead of time travel, she'd need to cross universes...
You think that is somehow less awkward for something that is unlikely to be core to the plot of the movie?

I don't think we need to invoke another entity. It looked more like to me that she read his palm, actually saw something, and said, "Oh HELL NO!" and made the sigil to sever her involvement. "I see nothing! I hear nothing! I know NOTHING" Sgt Schultz style.
The sigil seemed to have been cast when she was in her prophetic trance state so if that was the reason, she wasn't consciously aware of it. I tend to think it was because there was a greater destiny at play.

I will go and rewatch. My recollection is that she was aware and thoughtful when she picked up the little token she drew the sigil on, making a choice about what she was going to do, rather than in a trance.

That was my reading as well. It only looked like a trance because she seemed unaware of having done it. But that’s apparently how sigils work…even the caster is affected.

Well no … she wouldn’t need to, the Fantastic Four are the ones that come to our reality so they could just encounter her here

You figure, that, in the middle of whatever adventure gets them to cross universes, they're going to get settled in well enough to search for and find a nanny? That's going to be a good use of screen time in a movie that doesn't even start with the characters established?

Well, like I said, it's just a theory.

As for your point, it's certainly valid. However, the Fantastic Four are reported to appear in a number of the upcoming MCU films once they make it to the prime universe, so perhaps they connect with Agatha in one of those.

Hey, none of my theory could happen! I'm just wondering out loud, since Agatha acting as Franklin Richards' nanny / governess / whatever IS a thing in the comics, so it seems at least possible that they might do some version of that in the MCU

I was only contesting the idea that this connection would be established in the first FF movie. What happens after that is anyone's guess.

I know it was a thing.

But, what you do when you have years of monthly comics, and when you have one movie every few of years are going to be different.
