WotC Some Rich Dude Calls for Wizards of the Coast to "Burn in Hell" and I Refuse to Care

Yeah there would be a table with minis and a great dm and dice…I would keep almost getting to play but I would get called into work, a kid would need something, my wife would object…

Wait I have already been through hell?!
I do have a recurring dream that I am back in my college town and head over to my college group’s weekly ongoing then ~20 year old campaign like I did when visiting later in life (most of them lived in Madison and were not students) but I keep walking through half remembered parts of Madison and never actually get there.

Then I start worrying about an upcoming calculus exam and being concerned that I can’t remember going to the class the whole semester.

I graduated from college 29 years ago. :)

Funny I was having the same dream, but with high school. For some reason, I dream about spending like a whole year in high school not going to a class, dreaming of making excuses not to attend and hoping it will work, until there is some exam to be taken.

If your therapist offers some explanation, do not hesitate to share :-)

Wow!!!

I have a recurring dream where I failed to drop several graduate level classes! I don’t have a syllabus and don’t know where they meet and will be kicked out of grad school!

As stupid as it sounds, I wake up distressed every time!

Not a therapist but I think it is just stress twisting things. :)

I sometimes half way through nice dreams notice discrepancies and try to intellectually make sense of them as if it is fully real. Thus the I don’t remember going to calculus class aspect and therefore trying to plan how to deal with that and evaluate how much of a problem I dug myself into stress aspect. Instead of just enjoying the fantasy dream that started out nice.

Also I am not sure my dream logic is up to improvving all my old friends playing their characters and the cool plots the Dm came up with or me catching up with people when it is vague whether I am returning from the summer, returning after a hiatus to do one semester for a specific new degree as I considered at one point (I was one class short of qualifying for a bachelor of science degree instead of a BA), or just visiting. Instead getting there keeps expanding in half remembered navigations that I am not 100% sure of and stress again might enter in.

But it starts out nice in looking forward to seeing everyone and play my old AD&D character in the game again and catch up.

I like the tone of this thread more so thank you for this.

Reading the other thread felt like playing a game of The Floor is Lava.

My theory with Musk is ignore him. Put him in an online corner and laugh at him. Maybe nice wee hat.

He deals in slop and outrage. He's a puss filled wart on reality but can't really stop what he says. Engaging with him via outrage is basically what he wants.

Otherwise

I don't care what some celebrity says about anything outside their field of expertise. Never have; never will. I find it odd how many people do care, both in support and opposition. Of course, I also find it odd that someone would start up a new thread about not caring, which I bothered to post in. Don't mind me... I'm just taking up board space ;)

I don't get the celebrity thing at all.

Wheel out some rich out of touch celebrity to parrot some lines about their favorite corporate robot.

That's too bad.

I do care. Because when he aims his troll armies at my friends, it can get ugly.
I'll do what I can to oppose harmful actions and policies. But I'm not going to waste any more time listening to rich dudes justifying or reveling in their own destructive behavior.

Why not just tell everyone in the other thread how much you don't care?
I generally avoid going into threads just to tell people I don't care about the topic they're discussing.

I do think it's worthwhile to remind the community that we don't have to engage with incendiary comments celebrities make about our hobby, but I'm not going to advocate that in a thread whose purpose is to discuss incendiary comments a celebrity made about our hobby. That would be rude.
