It could be a lot worse obviously.
What if Taylor Swift said the Ranger class was unfun to play? Can you imagine the carnage??
Wasn't it the topic of her song, "Out of the woods"?

Hell is where every game uses the d4 System. Nothing but fistfuls of d4s any time you want to do anything. And so many d4s have fallen off the table and onto the floor, you have no choice but to stand on them. Barefoot.Hell is where every die roll ends up cocked... and you're not even the one rolling. You're just watching someone else roll, and reroll, and reroll... "oops, cocked again!"... when will you ever get your turn??!!
It's a good thought (And I think I made my own opinion of the man clear in the other thread), but the fact is the individual in question enjoys a disproportionate influence on the U.S. and our daily life. I don't care what he has to say. He is an execrable person with equally execrable opinions. But the fact is people listen to him. Now, do I care those people will not enter my hobby? No. Thank you for helping to keep my hobby clean by staying out of it. But those same people will make trouble for people in the hobby, and that I do care about....so I'm tuning out their commentary on my hobby. I encourage everyone else to do the same. I think we'll all be better off for it.
This is incredibly hyperbolic. What exactly do you imagine will happen?...(snip)... the fact is the individual in question enjoys a disproportionate influence on the U.S. and our daily life. So, ignore him? I wish. But we have to pay attention to the possible impact he has because so many people DO listen to him.
I prefer Tom Hardy's theory about actors, but maybe that's just me.I very much subscribe to Anthony Hopkin's comment some years back on actors, that many of them are "pretty stupid" and I think that applies to celebs in general...
I mean much broader actions are to be expected against people he sees as enemies, but no, this is not an actual issue he cares about and is just part of the larger culture war BS. He does not give a damn about this book or Gygax beyond from how it can be leveraged to radicalize more people. This is incredibly hyperbolic. What exactly do you imagine will happen?
They're going to pass a bill to sanction WotC?
The president is going to pass an executive order criminalising the bad speaking of Gygax?
Suddenly a whole host of non-gaming persons are going to protest peacefully at an RPG Convention?
Yes, we have to pay attention to a silly tweet from a silly thought because D&D will never be the same again...the sky is falling!
Which Is?I prefer Tom Hardy's theory about actors, but maybe that's just me.
Are you referring to his reply to a question of him being a method actor? Because I love his reply on that, but that is not related to my post.I prefer Tom Hardy's theory about actors, but maybe that's just me.
