D&D 5E Your best Eldritch Knight?

Every time I go to make a str fighter, they end up being dex because there’s no advantage to playing.a str fighter. Besides heavy armour, I guess))
Polearms. Also, a little more flexibility with regard to which magic item drops they can use.
I don’t want to dump charisma or dex because sneak and persuasion are important in heist adventures. I’m currently dumping wisdom.
A typical heist crew has a dedicated "face", who does all the talking. So no one else needs to bother with charisma. But they probably don't want some clod clanging about in heavy armour. They do usually include "the muscle" for strength/athletics checks though.

But what you could do if you wanted to be an unusual "face" is pick up druid initiate with charisma as your casting stat, and make that your highest stat. The spells you pick up as an EK would still be INT, but just don't pick any attack spells as an EK. Your 1st level druid spell would be CHA, so make that your attack spell, which you can cast using EK slots.

Booming Blade: staves allow you to trip(topple). Does standing from prone meet the "5 feet of movement" requirement of Booming blade? It takes half your movement to stand.

Druid doesn't have any great attack spell at first level....except Ice Knife, I guess. I'm tempted to just take healing word.
Yes it's the basic idea with Shillelagh builds now.

4th level hex from Fey-touched with disadvantage on STR will make it easier to topple people when hitting them with booming blade.

So many bonus actions just to open up a fight...

Hex and booming blade can be used in same round.
Shillelagh can't be used with hex, because they're both bonus actions so opening round it just Shillelagh and attack, I guess?

This RPG stackexchange thread suggests otherwise.
The other option is to ready an attack with a great club, booming blade when they move in, push them back 10 feet.
