I am cautiously optimistic about the TTRPG, I don't dislike the idea of a 5e powered scifi game, but I hope they don't feel the need to balance it against D&D. Sure balance it against itself, but it shouldn't be afraid to be, for lack of a better term, bigger.

So, doesn't seem that the preorder info is out yet, but a couple of pages of previews from a Facebook Story (per Reddit, it seems to be gone now) show that this is a 5E Space Opera supplement, tech toys thst are basically magic items:

Yeah, so many specific 5E keywords (Proficiency Bobhs, etc) seems extremely doubtful it would be anything else.

I am curious what Aegis (Prodigy) is. I think it could be some kind of class or substitute for species.

I wonder how compatible it is with regular 5e, like if wanted to create a setting that is a mix of Exodus and D&D, could I use this stuff with Wizards, Orcs, Aasimar, Clerics, etc...?

Almost certainly fully compatible is my guess after seeing these preview pages: probably easy-peasy to mix to create a more sci-fi-ish space fantasy campaign.
