Gnometown Hero
Well, Disney's going to have this guy killed.they don't need to constantly have every movie be a part of this great crossover universe

Well, since we know Doom will be played by Robert Downey Jr. I would be EXTREMELY surprised if we never see his faceIf we actually ever get to see Doom's face, without hideous scarring. He could well be in the mask the whole time.
Is it Nova then?It is an existing character.
The story it was based on was hardly a battle, and rightly so.I'll be skipping it based on the expectation of its climax being a glorified schoolyard fistfight.
Again, the heart of Norrin's backstory is a tragic romance. He was never androgynous. My thoughts: "Oh, no! The androgynous silver skinned alien character is presenting as female! Whatever shall we do?!!!!"
Wait a minute...Robert Downey Junior is playing DOOM in the MCU?And obviously, ONLY MEN can sacrifice for their loved ones...
Piffle on that argument, I say.
It seems pretty obvious that this movie does not start on Earth-199999, just from the visuals. The FF's world doesn't match the MCU-Earth esthetic.
Where it ends, goodness only knows.
If that climax is against Galactus... not likely. In the comics, when Ben and Johnny tried to fight Galactus, they just... bounced off. As was appropriate.
We all know how the FF beats Galactus the first time out - The Watcher sends Johnny Storm to get the Ultimate Nullifier from Galactus' worldship. Threatened with it, the Big G agrees to go away.
You can have a big fight at the initial meeting with the Surfer, ending in the usual team-up when heroes fight. You can have a big fight against G's "Punisher" cyborg....
And you can have a big fight when Dr. Doom tries to grab the Nullifier, which ends in a malfunction that transports them all to the MCU... or however we justify a Doom that has Stark's face...
Are you joking or are you seriously asking?Wait a minute...Robert Downey Junior is playing DOOM in the MCU?
But the character doesn't exist in the Marvel CINEMATIC Universe yet. You may have noticed that characters in the MCU don't completely conform to characters in the print Marvel Universe in all ways.
Agreed. Always a concern when I see this kind of swap. I hope they do better. The female Surfer doesn't make that sacrifice in the comics (not even in the What If? version). So it would be a pretty odd change to go with the female version but with the male backstory.
Again, I'm fine with them going with the female version of the character. But, don't make it just a female version of the male character's story. The female version has her own backstory, and she deserves to have her story be told if they're going to use that character. Using the male character's story instead really would be changing her gender just to change her gender, and not to tell a story.
