I'm down with that as well. It would really be a discussion to have with the next player who gets to the point it can come up.The Simulacrum can't cast spells of 7th level or higher. No Wish, no Simulacrum.

You mean this:
If you cast this spell again, any simulacrum you created with this spell is instantly destroyed.
Not a problem. You (the Wizard) is not casting it again... your simulacrum is using wish to duplicate the spell to create another simulacrum of you. Ad naseum...
You don't cast it through wish, you duplicate it. All the wording in simulacrum does is prevent the SIM from duplicating you, and later SIM from duplicating you through further castings of simulacrum.Well the Simulacrum spell states the Simulacrum can't cast this spell, which I would interpret to mean you can't cast it through Wish either.
Per wish, you don't need to meet any requirements. Though I expect that is the intention.Well the Simulacrum spell states the Simulacrum can't cast this spell, which I would interpret to mean you can't cast it through Wish either.
I brought up A5e's Combat Traditions after someone else on the thread brought up the Book of 9 Swords. Like 5.5e's Weapon Masteries, A5e's Combat Traditions are an attempt to deal with the martial/caster gap by giving the martial classes something extra to do. Each tradition is composed of 15 combat maneuvers that basically are the martial equivalent of spells.I think someone here mentioned Book of 9 Swords; A5E's martial maneuvers are basically that.. except I don't think they give up much damage potential. It's more a straight-up buff :'D
But it's not WotC 5e, I imagine folk want the change there.
What's weird is that the snow/ice aren't actually listed under the spell's components... I was GOING to say "oh hey, aren't spell components without a $ cost covered by a spell focus" buuut it seems like the snow/ice is required, but not listed as said spell component. So... yeah. I guess you need it! Ofc it's a 7th level spell, so we're talking Teleport, but yeah.. it's an extra hitch in ye gitalong.I just re read simulacrum. Components are interesting. Snow or ice in quantities enough to make copy of the person. For average person, that's 70-100 liters worth of ice/snow that needs to stay frozen during 12 hours it takes for casting of the spell. Even Cone of cold can't do it ( creature killed with cone turns to ice, but it starts to thaw if temp is above 0, and recasting of cone has no effect). So, unless your wizard is doing it in the very cold place with lots of ice and snow, tough luck.
