Another vote for Amber. It has the intrigue of Game of Thrones, but better with the plane hopping, elements, and demons. Sign me up.

The biggest issue with this kind of thing is that I don't know enough to give a sensible answer. I know that historically the biggest source of top quality movies in the past was the mid budget movie or even the better budgeted B Movies, not the deliberate attempts at blockbuster movies.

They said they'd pour money into the franchise. They didn't say they'd pour it into One Big Movie. I think splitting the ton of money into a series of smaller projects is a fine approach to the question. It allows you to bring a fictional universe to life, not just one story.

..and they say, "We follow you online and love your opinions on geek stuff. We will pour tons of money into a franchise of your choice, with the caveat that it has to be something that has either never been brought to screen, or only very briefly and unsuccessfully. What do you want us to do?"

First, I laugh myself into a coma.

Second, a Trilogy of MASSIVE movies that cover the Horus Heresy, of 30K/40K Fame, with me fixing the obvious flaws in the novel series.

Lord, I could die happy then.
