The ending of episode three was, shall we say, dramatic, though I personally kind of saw it coming.
I mean, I think everyone saw it coming right? It wasn't like, shocking or surprising was it? Especially with the foreshadowing in the very start of the episode. It seemed inevitable from as soon as he got off.

I will say I was glad that they showed the prosecutor giving an absolutely crap summation speech that obviously wouldn't have moved a jury based on the evidence (or extreme lack thereof - it was basically he said/he said).

What happened????
As you're in the spoiler thread and asking this I assume you want spoilers - White Tiger got capped after getting off in court. One to the dome. Apparently the magic amulet is only so magic - really guys you gotta follow Daredevil's lead here and wear an actual helmet and actual body-armour! Daredevil would be dead so many times over if he didn't.

And we're like, lightly supposed to believe Punisher did it because the guy walking away had a Punisher skull on his bulletproof vest, but like, we'd already seen cops that episode with Punisher skull tattoos, so this is perhaps a The Dead Pool (i.e. the Dirty Harry movie) scenario, rather than it actually being Punisher. I.e. evil, murderous cops are inspired by Punisher and acting in his name, using his imagery. In The Dead Pool the similar scenario ended up with Harry gunning down all the cops who claimed to idolize him and his "example" and throwing a bomb into the car of the mayor (I think?) who approved of them...

Pretty much, yes, someone was going to try to kill White Tiger - that was pretty strongly foreshadowed. The question now is - was it cops acting on their own or some other killer arranged by Kingpin. Sorry, MAYOR Kingpin. They've gotten us to divide our suspicions there, at least.

And why were Kingpin's knuckles all bloody? Well, the new episodes are out, so maybe I'll get an answer tonight. SO LONG TO WAIT.

Sorry. The Internet has destroyed my sense of proportion and patience.

Porque no los dos?

My guess re: the actual killer? Bullseye wearing a Punisher outfit, given he survived.

As such it seems more likely he's working for Kingpin, but may well have the assistance of Punisher Cultist cops. I feel like if it was just cop-cultists, there'd have been more than one of them, possibly an entire team with long guns. Only bringing one guy to kill someone with superhuman strength and speed suggests pretty serious confidence. Bullseye is notably extremely confident (though it was a single close-range shot, and he specializes in fancier stuff).

Yeah, he was essentially saying "Who you gonna believe, this guy or the cop?"

(He should have reassessed after Matt's presentation, but apparently thought the bias of juries toward police would still do the heavy lifting. Should have known better.)

I think it was supposed to up his strength and reflexes, but not his durability (beyond what upping strength tends to do indirectly). As I've commented before, for street level heroes super-senses matter more than people give them credit for; its not a coincidence that Daredevil is stuffed full of them and Spider-Man has one big important one.

From what I understand, that's extrapolated right out of some plotlines in the comics. Frank was apparently, shall we say, unamused.

Seems unlikely for one reason: Bullseye would have had absolutely no need to get that close.

Nothing says he didn't have backup. That looked like walking WT into an ambush situation given the female scream right before it attracting his attention. The backup just wasn't needed.

Exactly. And it definitely wasn't the cop. The movie to out him as White Tiger was the smart one (and they'd have killed him either way).

For sure. But a little light-weight body-armour and maybe a helmet just seems like the smart move. The might not save you, but they've sure saved Matt! Night Thrasher knew where it was at!

(When are we getting our Night Thrasher series eh Marvel?)

Yeah I suspect these cops better hope he doesn't find out. Also he probably will find out.
