I saw this on reddit and it is a really great idea.

The poster said they used a 2:1 ratio of acryllic paint and dish soap, and had to put 2 coats on a laminated map.

I thought it would be fun to start a thread where folks can share the cool props and other stuff they DIY for their games. Feel free to explain how you made it and give directions, recipes, whatever.

NOTE: This thread is not intended to be a place for you to advertise your etsy shop or whatever.

I made this over a year ago but I still haven’t gotten a chance to use them.

Modular castle ruins.

Bonus points of you can figures out what location I used as a model for the base set. 😉🤔

That is awesome. is that The Moathouse?

I don't do this a lot, but I was happy with a label I produced for a crate delivered to the party. There were checkboxes for "Greater God", "God", "Lesser God", "Demi-God" and "Home-made sticky-back-plastic God" (which was checked), "Quality checked" (which was blank), and a signature, which on examination proved to say "Illegible Squiggle."

Yep. I made it for my current TOEE campaign but then the PCs followed every sidetrek lead aside from the Moathouse and still haven’t gotten there. But it’s fine. It was meant to be reusable, arranged in different ways, and easy enough a proces that I could make 1 or 2 more at a time if necessary for a different location.
